Spa Sans Souci Frequently Asked Questions

Spa Sans Souci prides itself on a calm, quiet environment. We ask all guests to respect the comfort of other guests while visiting and try to remain as quiet as possible. At no time will any form of verbal abuse, physical aggression, or threatening behavior be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse any guests due to these reasons.

Q: What are the Conditions and Cancellation Policy?

  •  Once your appointment has been confirmed, it is then your responsibility to ensure that you present yourself on time (we do prefer a few minutes earlier so that we are able to get you settled before your appointment begins so that you don't miss anything).

  • If you are unable to honor your appointment, we ask that you communicate with us 48 hours prior to your appointment.

  • If you do not honor your appointment and we did not hear from you 48 hours prior, a charge of $50 may be charged to the credit card number you provide upon booking.

  • We understand and respect that emergencies and illnesses happen. If you were unable to attend your appointment due to an emergency, please call us and we will be happy to provide you with another appointment. This is dealt with on a case by case basis.

Q: Are massages reimbursable by my private group insurance?

All of our Massage Therapists are registered and regulated by the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) and can issue receipts for insurance purposes. Please go to your massage waiting area 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out the health history form. Note:  A review and discussion of your health history form will be part of your treatment time.

Your massage receipt will reflect the method of payment.

Q: Are gift cards refundable?

Unfortunately, as gift cards go through a third party company, they cannot be reimbursed.

Q: How far ahead should I make an appointment?

Every day is different here at Spa Sans Souci and we are unable to give you a perfect waiting time. However, we do recommend that you call us two to three days before your planned appointment, and we will do our best to meet your time constraints. At times, same-day appointments are available (for cancellations and no shows), but for those you would have to call us directly (we will not take bookings online for the same day).

Q: Why is it so important to be quiet while visiting Spa Sans Souci?

Spa Sans Souci is a place for our guests to come unwind and relax. Although the esthetic area can become quite chatty, those noices are kept away from those who are experiencing relaxing treatments behind closed doors. Thus, we ask that if a door is closed, you do not knock, stomp, or slam other doors.

Q: What is your return policy for Eminence products?

Q: Due to the nature of the products, we cannot honor any returns. If you really are unhappy with your product for whatever reason, we suggest coming into the spa to speak to Roz, our spa manager.

Q: What if I am really not sure what I am supposed to get for my skin color, type, from your products?

Everyone's skin is different, and we get that. If you're just starting our on this venture, we highly suggest you come to the spa for a skin consultation. Our estheticians are highly skilled and can often determine what you need just by looking at your skin. Additionally, you can also visit this link and do a short quiz. Although it is not as accurate as an in-spa consultation, it will help you determine some of your needs.

Q: Are children allowed on site?

We prefer to keep our company to 12+.

Q: I am pregnant. Can I have a massage anyway?

All our Registered Massage Therapists are trained to give massages that are safe for pregnant women. Please mention whether a guest is pregnant when reserving a massage appointment. However, there is one Raindrop Therapy (a holistic treatment) is not intended for pregnant women due to the essential oils used.

Q: Can I receive care if I am under medication or suffering from certain health problems?

We recommend that you discuss any issues with your health professional. If you are taking medication or have particular health problems (such as cancer), we recommend you speak with your therapist before your treatment. Alternately, you can call us at the spa to discuss your concerns.

Q: I am trying to make an appointment with a foot care specialist, but she doesn't seem to be on the list when I try to book online.

Johanne is only available on specific days, which are determined week by week. We ask that you call the shop to book an appointment with her.

Q: How do I book an appointment for more than just myself?

Please keep in mind, we only have two aenesthetists, so you would only be able to book an appointment for you and your friend, but not more than that. Three or more people consist of a group booking, and you would have to contact the spa directly for this (see below). 

To book an appointment for you and your friend for a nail service, please follow these steps: 

1. Go to the "visit" page

2. Choose the service you want (ie: healing hands manicure)

3. Select the date you prefer

4. Select the time you prefer

5. Before moving onto the next page, select the anaesthetist you prefer (note: for nails, you would choose Patti or Roz). 

6. Complete your appointment booking. 

7. Go back to the service selection page and do the steps again, same date, same time, but choose the other anaesthetist that is available. If you are unable to book the same time with that anaesthetist, it is because hse is already booked. In this case, we would recommend that you call the spa to arrange your visit, our staff is always ready and willing to do what we can to accommodate your request. 

Q: Do you accept groups? Do you have special group rates?

We do have group rates, but they are dealt with on a case by case basis. We recommend calling the spa or emailing us for more information about your event.

Q: What is an SSL certificate?

An SSL certificates are small data files that digitally bind a cryptographic key to an organization’s details. When installed on a web server, it activates the padlock and the https protocol and allows secure connections from a web server to a browser. Typically, SSL is used to secure credit card transactions, data transfer and logins, and more recently is becoming the norm when securing browsing of social media sites.
